The ‘pre-planned manner’ in which the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) tried to alter the status quo at Yangtse last week and the recent spike in Chinese air activity in the region reinforces the Indian defence establishment’s assessment that China has no intention of de-escalating tensions along the entire Line of Actual Control (LAC).
