The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed petitions challenging the President’s order appointing advocate L Victoria Gowri as a judge of the Madras HC on the recommendations of the SC Collegium. Petitioners through senior advocates Raju Ramachandran and Anand Grover, had questioned Gowri’s past political affiliations and cited her five-year-old purported hate speeches against alleged forced conversions by Muslim clerics and Christian missionaries.
