91% of Indian fish stock found healthy, SE coast best

More than 91% of 135 fish stocks (subpopulations of a species) evaluated in 2022 were "healthy", the first comprehensive marine fish stock assessment for India has found. Nearly 87% were found to be sustainable, and around 8% overfished. None of the stocks had collapsed, meaning depletion beyond recovery.
