For school students, govt plans to roll out 'One Nation, One ID'

The Union ministry of education in India plans to create a unique identification number called 'Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR)' for every student from pre-primary to higher education. This number, in addition to the Aadhaar ID, will track students' academic journey and achievements.
