A 37-year-old Air India pilot suffered a cardiac arrest at Delhi Airport and could not be saved despite receiving CPR. The pilot had recently returned to work after Diwali and was at the airport for training to transition to flying a different aircraft type. The incident was not related to fatigue from flying duties. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has recently proposed revised flight duty time limitations to address pilot stress and fatigue.
