Government orders suspension of senior executives of SAIL and NMDC following a directive from the steel ministry. The decision is a fallout of a Jan 10 order by Lokpal, which resulted in a CBI probe into complaints against SAIL executives favoring Venkatesh Infra Projects and misusing their position in the case of Avon Steel Industries, causing loss to the company.
