Four people in Gujarat, one in Mumbai, and a boy in MP fell victim to banned kite strings known as Chinese manja. The victims were on bikes. Kite strings also injured others, including a farmer in Maharashtra's Nashik district who needed 150 stitches for a deep cut in his neck. A seven-year-old boy named Kanishk lost his life to Chinese manja in MP's Dhar city Sunday evening while travelling with his father on a motorcycle to buy snacks.
