Packaged items to display price per unit

Starting Monday, manufacturers and importers must display the price per unit along with the overall MRP on packaged items. Additionally, the month and year of manufacturing must be mentioned. The new rule eliminates the option to mention the month and year of 'pre-packed or imported' items. The unit price must be mentioned in per kg or per litre for items weighing more than a kg or litre, and in per gram or millilitre for items weighing less. Manufacturers must also mention the price per piece for items with multiple units.
