The government sold 'Bharat Atta', 'Bharat Dal', and onions at subsidized rates to moderate prices. Retail intervention may continue for months due to the large rice stock. Wheat and rice stocks in the central pool are above buffer stocking norms. The ministry said in order to moderate prices of atta, 6 lakh tonnes of wheat has been allocated for semi-government.
