An APMC official said the development had a positive impact on the average prices at Lasalgaon, the country's largest wholesale onion market. The average prices of the bulbs at Lasalgaon rose to Rs 1,800 per quintal on Monday from Saturday's Rs 1,280 per quintal. Average wholesale prices of onions at Lasalgaon Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC) increased by 40% on Monday.
