The Income Tax department has withdrawn Rs 65 crore from Congress' bank accounts, including Indian Youth Congress, despite the pending appeal before the I-T tribunal. Congress claims that only the judiciary can save democracy in light of the BJP government's arbitrary actions. Earlier, the I-T department had raised a demand of Rs 210 crore and frozen the party's bank accounts.
