Taking note of the challenges faced by a father in getting blood transfusion done for his three year old son suffering from thalassaemia at a hospital in MP's Raisen district, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights chief has asked all states and UTs to issue circulars to hospitals to provide blood transfusion therapy to such patients free of cost and step-up compliance with the health ministry guidelines on treatment.
