A newly acquired Indian Navy deep submergence rescue vehicle (DSRV) has recently located the wreckage of PNS Ghazi, the Pakistani submarine that sunk during the India-Pakistan war in 1971. The submarine was found at a depth of approximately 100 metres, off the coast. The Indian Navy has decided not to disturb the wreckage as a mark of respect for the lives lost in the incident, following Navy traditions.
