A day after foundation stone for three semiconductors projects worth over Rs 1.2 lakh crore was laid, electronics & IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Thursday said that five more fabs are in the pipeline. Several assembly, testing, marking and packaging (ATMP) units would be set up to create the entire value chain, ecosystem and a "very strong" semiconductor industry in India.
