Disagreement over 2 seats stalls BJP-BJD alliance talks

On Friday, discussions regarding seat-sharing between the BJP, Biju Janata Dal (BJD), and Telugu Desam Party seemed to have hit a deadlock. Despite the party leadership's planned transition to challenging territories like Maharashtra and Bihar, where addressing the demands of allies within the lead NDA player and among themselves was crucial, no resolution had been reached. Negotiations with BJD for the upcoming Lok Sabha and state assembly elections, initially showing signs of smooth progress, were reportedly hindered by disagreements concerning the allocation of Puri and Bhubaneshwar seats, currently held by BJD and BJP, respectively.
