Following PM Modi's inauguration of airport projects totaling Rs 9,800 crore in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday, India's yearly air passenger handling capacity is set to surge by more than 6 crore in the next 1-2 months. The initiatives encompass the establishment and enhancement of terminals at 12 locations, including Delhi, Pune, Kolhapur, Lucknow, Gwalior, and Azamgarh. Additionally, foundation stones were laid for new terminal buildings at Kadapa, Hubballi, and Belagavi airports.
