JJP's chief indirectly benefited BJP by asking his 10 MLAs to absent themselves from proceedings, allowing BJP to easily sail through the floor test with its own 41 MLAs. The backing of seven other members - six Independents and Gopal Kanda of Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP) - came as additional support for BJP.
