The former NRI doctor, now in politics, submitted his candidacy. Originally from Burripalem in Guntur district, Dr. Sekhar's family roots lie there. His father relocated to Narasaraopet, managing a hotel. Sekhar, securing the 27th position in EAMCET, pursued his MBBS at Osmania University before furthering his studies in the US.
