On Sunday, the Samajwadi Party in Lucknow announced Ramesh Bind, a sitting BJP MP from Bhadohi, as its candidate from Mirzapur representing the INDIA bloc. Previously, the party had selected Rajendra Bind as the candidate from Mirzapur but has now replaced him with Ramesh Bind. The BJP had refused to give a ticket to Ramesh Bind in Bhadohi and instead chose Vinod Bind.
