'AIIMS flouts SC rulings, gives seat preference to own docs'

The Supreme Court was informed that a 287th rank-holder in the INICET missed a PG seat at AIIMS, Delhi, which was given to a 10,721 ranker. This was due to AIIMS erroneously treating 'institutional preference' as a form of reservation. The court had previously ruled against institutional reservation but allowed up to 50% preference.
