Irregular sleep pattern ups risk of Type 2 diabetes, says study

A study by Brigham and Women's Hospital, published in Diabetes Care, analyzed sleep patterns of over 84,000 UK Biobank participants and found that irregular sleep increased the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes by 34%. The study followed individuals for 7.5 years, finding that consistent sleep patterns can help mitigate this risk.
