The government was expected to comfortably pass the Waqf (Amendment) Bill in the Rajya Sabha in the next session, as the NDA projected having adequate numbers. Upcoming wins and filling four vacant nominated seats would help meet the majority mark. Congress was also set to retain its leader of opposition status with gains in Telangana.
