A Pocso court in Arunachal Pradesh has sentenced former hostel warden Yumken Bagra to death for sexually assaulting 21 children. Co-convicts, ex-headmaster Singtung Yorpen and Hindi teacher Marbom Ngomdir Tapir, were given 20-year jail terms. The case came to light when two sisters reported the abuse in November 2022, leading to multiple arrests.
