India allocates up to 4.6% of GDP in edu, higher than many in region: Unesco

From 2015 to 2024, India allocated 4.1% to 4.6% of its GDP to education, meeting international benchmarks. Despite global declines in education investment, India consistently exceeded regional counterparts like Afghanistan and Pakistan, investing more GDP and government expenditure than many Central and Southern Asian nations.
