Banks, courts, parks: What’s open and closed in government shutdown?

The United States faces a government shutdown by Tuesday midnight. President Trump and Congress are deadlocked over a spending bill. Hundreds of thousands of federal employees could face furloughs. Trump also threatens permanent layoffs. Food aid, postal service, and federal law enforcement will continue operations. National parks and museums may close. Both parties trade blame for the impasse.
