At 76.2%, MP records highest-ever turnout; C'garh sees 75%

The assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh recorded a historic voter turnout of 76.2%, according to officials on Saturday. The polling was held in a single phase on Friday for all 230 constituencies. Seoni district in east MP had the highest voter turnout of 85.68%, while the tribal-dominated Alirajpur in the western region had the lowest voter turnout of 60.1%, officials said.
