The number of workers trapped inside the Silkyara tunnel in Uttarakhand has been updated from 40 to 41. The National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) discovered the discrepancy in the count on Friday evening. The 41st worker, identified as Deepak Kumar from Bihar, was initially unaccounted for. The majority of the trapped workers are from Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Assam, and Himachal Pradesh.
