In an effort to advance education in Indian languages, the government launched a significant initiative on Saturday, introducing schooling, particularly for early childhood, in 52 non-scheduled Indian languages, encompassing 17 tribal languages. This substantial push for mother tongue education ensures that students from various regions across the country will have the opportunity to receive education in their native languages. Furthermore, the government has allocated Rs 9,000 crore in financial aid to establish District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) of Excellence in 613 districts over the next five years.
