Following days of intense negotiations, the Congress party officially inked an agreement with the DMK on Saturday, outlining their collaboration to vie for nine seats in Tamil Nadu and the solitary seat in Puducherry in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The leadership of the DMK successfully persuaded the Congress high command to maintain the same allocation of seats as in the 2019 elections.
